With so many species of flora and fauna living in the rainforest, its easy to see where the artist’s inspiration is drawn from. Fuan’s passion for plants is not only shown in his revisions of art but can be viewed firsthand in one the many gardens he’s fostered. The definition that is unique to Mother Nature is mimicked in his work. This collection speaks to his affair with the tropics and the progeny of the rainforests. This series is comprised of small bowls depicting his love for the tropical rainforest, abundance of plant life and the various bodies of water found in his beloved country!

What’s so special about Sabah?

Sabah serves as home to some 30 ethnic groups, each with its distinct language, traditions, customs and way of life. Known as the ‘Lost World’, Sabah possesses uncharted rainforests that are so secluded they have never been permanently inhabited by humans. Further, you’ll find that its ecosystem is virtually self-contained. Cultural diversity is shown in the many delicacies that await the ‘food aficionado’ in you. Should you feel the need to tame the explorer in you, then you’ll find the Danum Valley Conservation Area and Tabin (which is Sabah’s largest wildlife reserve) and absolute must see!
